Campus Harvest began in 1990 with a mission to "Revolutionize Campus Ministry by Mobilizing the Local Church." Since then, this seminal vision has attracted tens of thousands of university students and countless pastors to the annual Campus Harvest Student Conference each Spring. Students from more than 300 U.S. campuses and multiple nations have been inspired with hope for a Christian student movement backed by supportive local churches. Campus Harvest was founded by a local church pastor, Ron Lewis of Kings Park International Church, and has never lost the aim of serving local ch urches. To date, this multi-denominational service organization has helped equip countless churches and campus leaders. Soon after its inception, Campus Harvest started a one week training program for students called the Harvest Institute. In addition, countless students have served in the Campus Harvest short-term missions program. Working in conjunction with Every Nation Campus Ministry, Campus Harvest founded a School of Camp us Ministry designed to train future full-time Campus Pastors. This two-month school is uniquely designed to provide excellent theological overview and hands-on practical training for becoming a skilled campus pastor. All students return to their sending church or organization better-equipped to birth a fruitful campus ministry.
